Why a chartered yacht?

A chartered yacht offers the perfect mix of privacy, luxury and flexibility.
You can plan your own itinerary, combine the isolated ‘private' beaches with the crowded ‘hot-spots'.

Why Ionian?

The Ionian Islands offer a unique combination of advantages:
  • a spectacular scenery of green islands and emerald waters, consistently ‘blue-flagged' for their quality
  • a variety of seaside - from small ‘private' bays to popular sandy beaches
  • an ideal weather for motor-cruising, characterized by calm seas and a mostly predictable afternoon breeze
  • a variety of built environment, ranging from the small fishing villages to the crowded Corfu towns
  • some great opportunities for Mediterranean cuisine and genuinely fresh sea-food

Why Eptanisa Yachting?

Our captain and crew have been operating motor yachts in the area for the past sixteen years. They have the best knowledge of the waters and land: where to swim, where to eat, where to lounge and where to party.

How do I start?

Check the booking procedure section here .

Can I bring children?

Of course! Yachting can be great family holidays. But please note that the crew are always quite busy with their duties, and you will always be responsible for the children's safety, behaviour and entertainment.

Can I bring my pet?

Unfortunately pets are not allowed on board. Crews have to maintain the highest standards in terms of cleanliness. Also, pets can be even more sensitive than humans regarding sea-sickness.

How and when should I pay?

Check the booking procedure section here .
All payments can be made by bank transfer or credit card (Mastercard/Mastercard Maestro or Visa/Visa Electron).

Do I need to carry my passport?

All guests must carry the appropriate travelling documents, as if they were travelling in Greece by land.

What is the APA

The Advanced Provisioning Allowance is for extra expenses involved in the provisioning for guests, the fuel cost, land arrangements etc. Normally it is about 25% of the contract value and involves all items requested by the Charterer.
Final accounts will be produced by the Captain at the end of the charter and any unused funds will be refunded in full to the Charterer directly.
If the funds are not sufficient, the Captain will advise you accordingly.

Which days of the week can I begin and end my charter?

We will always try to accommodate your preference of days and duration of the charter. We will arrange for transport to the yacht.

What if I wish to embark and disembark from different bases?

This can be arranged, but you will be charged an additional cost.

Can we smoke on board?

For safety reasons, notably the prevention of fire, smoking is not permitted indoors. Smoking is allowed on the deck.

Does the yacht have laundry facilities?

Yachts are fully equipped with laundry facilities on board for the stewards to handle a large amount of linen and crew uniforms. Guest's laundry can be arranged with professional cleaners ashore.

What does the charter fee include?

The Charter Fee includes the charter of the yacht with all its equipment in working order, tools, stores, cleaning material and basic consumable stores for engine-room, deck and cabins, etc., the crew's wages, food and the insurance of the yacht for marine risk and third party claims and the crew for employer's liability insurance.
The Charterer will be charged extra, at cost to the yacht, for all other expenses. These include fuel for the yacht, fuel for the ski-boats or other tenders, food for the charterers, wines, beers, spirits and soft drinks for the Charterers, other consumable stores, berthing dues and other harbour charges away from the yacht's own berth, including pilotage fees and charges for water and/or electricity taken from the shore, laundry, telephone, fax or Internet costs, hire costs of special equipment placed on board at the request of the Charterer
Check the Terms of Charter here.

What about water sports?

The yacht is fully equipped for water skiing, jet skiing, wind surfing, fishing, snorkelling.
Regarding Jet Skiing, please note that Greece enforces strict regulations for their use and has recently enforced a law that obliges users to be certified with a speedboat license.
Therefore it is always at the captain's discretion to choose the appropriate area away from swimmers or other yachts for usage of all water toys.

What about scuba diving?

This is also regulated in an effort to protect the ubiquitous undersea ancient treasures. Scuba diving can be arranged by rendezvous with local organized centres providing boats, equipment and guide.

What about my privacy?

Professional crews are experienced in entertaining the yacht's owners and guests, and often celebrities. They are trained to be discreet and will give you as much privacy as you require.

What about insurance?

The yachts are covered with all the insurance for Third Party Liability as required by Greek Legislation (Bodily Injury, Material Damage, Sea Pollution) and also for a number of risks under the Institute Yacht Clauses 1.11.85 including water-skier's liability.

Should I have travel insurance?

In your own interest, you should buy suitable travel insurance as with any form of travel.

I understand that a tip is expected?

The crew's gratuity is entirely a matter for your personal discretion, should you feel satisfied with the level of service received on board.
